NOT TO DO ON A JET SKI

 

…AS STATED BY National Association of State Boating Law Administrators

 

  • DO NOT GET WITHIN 100 YARDS (100M) OF ANY OTHER JET SKI OR VESSEL.

  • DO NOT FOLLOW DIRECTLY BEHID ANOTHER JET SKI OR VESSEL.  STAY TO THE SIDES OF IT.                                     

  • DO NOT MAKE TURNS WITHOUT LOOKING FIRST, LOOK BOTH DIRECTIONS BEFORE YOU MAKE A TURN.

  • DO NOT JUMP OTHER JET SKIES OR BOATS WAVES OR WAKE.

  • DO NOT LEAVE THE JET SKI IF IT STOPS.  NEVER JUMP OFF AND SWIM TO SHORE. 

  • DO NOT RIDE IN THE SWIMMING AREA MARK WITH BUOYS LIKE THIS     

 

 

FOLLOW “THE RULES OF THE ROAD”

 

  • WHEN OVERTAKING ANOTHER JET SKI STAY FAR AWAY AND DO NOT MAKE SUDDEN MOVES.  KEEP A STEADY COURSE.

  • WHEN COMING HEAD ON WITH ANOTHER JET SKI OR BOAT PASS PORT TO PORT… STAY TO THE RIGHT

  • WHEN CROSSING YOU MUST GIVE WAY TO THE VESSEL ON YOUR RIGHT

  • IDLE-SPEED THROUGH THE BUOY CHANNEL…. VERY SLOW.  WATCH FOR SWIMMERS PASSING BY.
